you think child abuse starts with fists
or physical touch
Then, you never learned a simple truth
Words do hurt
Down deep inside
where children hide.
Words
do hurt.
Deep inside the heart,
Where the soul lives.
Each
icy word
pierces through every barrier
plunging unerringly.
Hateful ice picks
These words of destruction.
Tearing
minds apart
shattering their souls
freezing their hearts
Hateful,
hurtful words of destruction
Damning
a precious child to hell
in prisons of their own making
left stone cold
their souls shattered
